Me and my girlies learning from each other

School and Christmas 559

I am a very blessed wife of an extremely adoring husband and mama of 2 beautiful little girls. When hubby and I set out to start our family, from day one we asked God to give us children that would love him and follow him. He quickly thereafter laid on my heart the idea of homeschooling. A love and desire grew to be my children’s number one educator and influence on their character. If I want Jesus to be the center of their heart, I know that has to start with the example set at home and through our schooling. So this is our bumpy, experimental entry into the world of homeschooling.

MK is my sweet spirited little 3.5 year old. Born 4 months early and beating every odd ever placed on her in life, she is a miracle straight from the Lord. While everything she does seems to take a little more effort, she amazes me each time she does something new! She is so very smart and loves to learn.

RJ is my CRAZY, wired up, hilarious 2 year old. She has been high maintenance and stress inducing since birth. But she is the most loveable, funny little girl…full of every imaginable emotion. She is very smart and not a fan of being left behind. Each day is an experiment in how we can best include her in our school day while not trying to push her to be older than she is.

Hi! I just found your blog & wanted to introduce myself. I have a 2.5 year old daughter & 1.5 year old son that I will be homeschooling (foreign to me as I’m a product of public schools). I love that your kids are just a little older then mine & that you are new to this journey as I can relate & it’s not quite as intimidating as the bloggers that have been doi g this for 5 years 🙂 thanks for blogging. Thanks for the post! So encouraging to me! I totally agree. I LOVE reading from bloggers that have been doing this for years, but have to constantly remind myself that it’s okay that I’m NOT where they are at…they were just figuring stuff out when they were at this point too! I hope you find lots of encouragement and ideas from the posts!
